Jimmy starts a business
Jimmy has discovered something wonderful about business.
The Government needs things.
Lots of things.
And, even better, they’re willing to pay people to find those things for them.
After stumbling across the world of government contracts, Jimmy decides there’s no reason he can’t become a respectable supplier himself. He finds a tender, sources what they need and, against all reasonable expectations, actually pulls it off.
Then another country offers him more money for the same sort of thing.
Much more money.
There are a few minor complications involving export licences, restricted materials, international sanctions and something called a “trade embargo” — but Jimmy has never been one to let paperwork get in the way of a promising business opportunity.
Before long, Jimmy’s little company is doing international business.
Very international business.
And several government agencies would quite like a word.
Jimmy Starts a Business — a wholesome tale of entrepreneurship, international trade and why you should always read the terms and conditions before accidentally becoming an arms dealer.
